KonoSuba Limited Edition Will Include a Retro Style Shmup
5bp. will bring KonoSuba to PlayStation 4 and Vita on September 7th. While we are certain this visual novel won’t let fans down with its quirky humor, we still wondered what else could have been made of this franchise.
Those that pre-order or buy the first batch of the game will be in for a treat with a bonus mini game. Here players will be able to play as one of the four characters: Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin and Darkness. Kazuma fires your typical projectiles, Aqua has an ice laser, while Megumin has her periodic but destructive explosions. Last but not least, Darkness fights close range, somehow managing to hit her foes with ease, and of course has the masochistic ability of taking damage for your other characters.
The game looks and plays like your typical retro shmups. You will fight various enemies ranging from skeletons, to orcs to the iconic giant toads. The game even lets you visit shops littered throughout levels in order to purchase handy upgrades.
