Detective Visual Novel Master Magistrate Releases June 12 on Steam

Master Magistrate is a visual novel game similar to other detective titles such as Ace Attorney and Danganronpa. Players are Shimei Ooka, the newly appointed administrator of the magistrate’s office in the fictional town of Oukacho set in Japan’s Edo period. As both judge and jury, solve four different cases across four chapters. In each case, players investigate the crime scene, interview persons of interest, and explore the town for more clues and evidence. A trial will commence once investigation has been completed to unravel lies, discover the truth and serve justice.

There is a relationship building system between Ooka and his friends and colleagues during dormitory and exploration time, which will lead to branching, romantic character routes featuring the female cast members in the final chapter. Developer ShiraVN will also provide an 18+ free patch downloadable outside of Steam on release date.

The game will feature 150+ CGs, 20+ hours of story, and famous original Japanese voice actors.

Master Magistrate is currently in early access on Steam at £23.79 with its first three chapters available. The full release price of the game is yet to be announced, but will release at a 20% launch discount on Steam on June 12.
