“Sinnoh pre-make” Pokémon Legends: Arceus early 2022
Not content with only announcing remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, Nintendo has also revealed that Game Freak are working on a “Sinnoh pre-make“, Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Set in the Sinnoh region a long time before the events of Diamond and Pearl, you’ll be exploring vast areas to battle and capture new Pokémon.
From the trailer, it looks like turn-based battles will still be present, though they’ll now take place in the overworld, rather than unique arenas. Capturing will also be possible outside of battle, with tall grass being used to sneak up on wild Pokémon.
Overall, it’s a brief glimpse at what could potentially be a more experimental game than the mainline franchise. To learn more on Pokémon Legends: Arceus, including the role of its titular Pokémon, we’ll have to wait until its release early next year.
