Pokémon TCG Live announced, will replace old TCG app

The Pokémon Trading Card Game is getting an enhanced digital adaption with the reveal of Pokémon TCG Live.

There’s no release date, but we do know that this new app will replace the current Pokémon TCG Online app. According to the announcement, most cards from Online will be transferable to Live, though not all will be useable until future updates are released.

Pokémon TCG Live will offer the same gameplay that you’d expect from a digital version of the card game, with a new coat of paint. Players will now be able to customise their own avatars, and daily quests are being added as part of the reworked monetisation.

You’ll be able to download Pokémon TCG Live on mobile, PC, and Mac. A global open beta is planned for the latter two (along with a mobile soft launch in Canada) later this year.
