Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town heads to PC this month

Marvelous Europe has announced that Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is coming to PC via Steam on September 15, 2021.

Pioneers of Olive Town released for the Switch earlier this year, and (for us at least) it had some noticeable issues. The game has been patched many times since then, with the last set of DLC releasing late last month.

This PC release is slightly cheaper than on Switch, costing £34.99 — a 10% pre-order discount drops this to £31.49. Both the base game and its expansion pass costs £52.98 (or £45.03 with the launch discount). The expansion pass currently has no price listed, though it should be around £17.99 based on the Switch version.

Story of Seasons Pioneers of Olive Town Sakuna DLC

On top of this PC release, Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town will also get costume DLC based on Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. This will be free for a limited time, starting on September 15.

Porting to more powerful hardware should at least fix the various performance issues plaguing Pioneers of Olive Town on Switch, something that was never quite fixed in that version.
