Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion announced for Autumn 2024

Marvelous Europe has announced Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion, a new entry in the horror franchise that will release for Switch, PS3, and PC via Steam during Autumn 2024.

This is a different title from the previously released Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient — an episodic game that didn’t end up continuing past the first chapter — but it also uses a hospital setting.

Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion sees three high schoolers trigger a curse at Amare Est Vivere Hospital, leading to them being set upon by the spirit of Ayame Kirishima and the hospital’s other vengeful spirits.

Featuring options for both third and first-person gameplay (something new to the franchise), players will have to guide the group through six chapters and avoid many bad ends along the way.

Currently, only physical copies on Switch are confirmed, with no news on any special editions at this time.
