3 Short Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal Gameplay Videos Released
Marvelous has released a few short Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal gameplay videos showing off different aspects of battle! One looks at the Aerial Rave attack, one at Katsuragi’s Shinobi Transformation, and the third looks at the Senran Kagura series’s staple Costume Break feature.
Aerial Rave
The Aerial Rave is a short string of hits on an aerial target. These are useful for landing multiple hits on tough enemies that have lots of HP or defence, and are unique to each character.
Attacking an enemy more than twice consecutively will result in the start of a combo, which you can continue with additional successive hits. Higher combo hits will get you more experience, so it’s recommended to combo as often as you can.
You’ll often find yourself surrounded by multiple enemies, so it’s important to use various actions, such as Limit Breaks and escape arts.
Shinobi Transformation (Katsuragi)
The Shinobi Transformation changes a character into their shinobi costume and boosts their attack and defence. It also enables the use of Secret Ninja Arts.
You become invincible while using Secret Ninja Arts, so they’re a very useful way of giving yourself an advantage on the battlefield. Each character has their own unique scenes for Secret Ninja Arts.
Another technique that can be used after Shinobi Transformation is Frantic. Going Frantic destroys all clothing except underwear and provides a super high attack buff, however, it lowers defence.
Costume Break
After taking damage in battle, a character’s costume begins to break. Costume Breaks come in two stages, and getting hit by a Super or Ultimate Secret Ninja Art in the second stage will result in a “Complete Break” where all clothing is destroyed!
