Bayonetta 3 finally reveals gameplay, launching 2022

After a very, very long wait, Bayonetta 3 finally got its first gameplay trailer during today’s Direct, along with a 2022 release window.

Announced all the way back in 2017, there’s been basically no news on Bayonetta 3 since then. A few minutes of gameplay isn’t quiet enough to satiate fans that have waited this long, but what was shown during the Direct did look polished.

Bayonetta has received another outfit, though she still fights with a mix of weapons and hair-based magic. The main new gimmick in 3 seems to be the addition of controllable demons, letting you fight against giant opponents using dragons and oversized spiders.

With no exact release date revealed just yet, it’s safe to say that we wont be seeing Bayonetta 3 until the second half of 2022. However, now that we finally have some gameplay, the wait is definitely more bearable.
