Crunchyroll held a special stream last night to announce a bunch of titles in their Summer 2016 anime streaming line-up. They’re all pretty big hitters, but I’m especially looking forward to Mob Psycho 100, based on the manga from One, One Punch Man’s creator. Here’s the whole list!

Mob Psycho 100
Kageyama Shigeo, a.k.a. “Mob,” is a boy who has trouble expressing himself, but who happens to be a powerful esper. Mob is determined to live a normal life and keeps his ESP suppressed, but when his emotions surge to a level of 100%, something terrible happens to him!
As he’s surrounded by false espers, evil spirits, and mysterious organizations, what will Mob think? What choices will he make?
The anime based on the original story by ONE, the idol of the webcomic world and creator of One-Punch Man, is coming your way with animation by leading animation studio Bones!
During Prohibition, the law held no power and the mafia ruled the town.
The story takes place in Lawless, a town thriving on black market sales of illicitly brewed liquor. Avilio returns to Lawless after some time away, following the murder of his family in a mafia dispute there.
One day, Avilio receives a letter from a mysterious sender, prompting him to return to Lawless for revenge. He then infiltrates the Vanetti family, the ones responsible for his family’s murder, and sets about befriending the don’s son, Nero, to set his vengeance in motion.
Killing brings more killing, and revenge spawns more revenge. How will the 91-day story of these men guided by a tragic fate end?
Sweetness and Lighting
Kohei is a single father and high school teacher who lives with his only daughter. A chance encounter brings him together with Kotori, one of his students. The three of them start to meet together to make meals. None of them know how to cook, but they all love delicious food! Sweetness and Lightning is a heartwarming and fun experience that you’re sure to love!
ALDERAMIN ON THE SKY
ALDERAMIN ON THE SKY is directed by Tetsuo Ichimura and features animation by Madhouse. The story follows the fictional history of the Katvarn Empire and the unlikely rise of Ikta Sorok – a lazy and lecherous young man – as the country’s greatest military hero.
“Tattoos” – ancient weapons that drastically enhance the physical abilities of their users, known as the “Sealed,” allowing them to bring forth supernatural phenomena when activated through the charging of the user’s own unique “trigger.”
When Justice Akatsuka (a.k.a. “Seigi”) saves a man from some street punks, the man gives him a strange stone as a token of gratitude. The moment Seigi accepts it, a mysterious tattoo appears on his palm.
“Where did you get that tattoo?”
On his way home from school the next day, Seigi is suddenly attacked by “Izzy,” a girl wearing a coat despite the warm weather. He fights back with the jiujitsu that his grandfather taught him, but Izzy’s power overwhelms him, leaving his very life in danger…
And so the battle begins, framed by a web of conspiracies and centering around Justice Akatsuka, the boy who obtained a “tattoo” by complete chance.
Active Raid 2nd
Set in a futuristic Tokyo, Active Raid tells the story of “The Eighth,” a rash and careless unit of power-armored police called the “5th Special Public Security Section’s Mobile Assault Division.” After the Third Quicksand Disaster sinks Tokyo into a quagmire, the city’s reconstruction efforts are carried out using high-output, reinforced exoskeletons called Willwears. But they can also be misused, and to combat the crimes involving them, the National Police Agency establishes at its Kichioji Branch the Special Public Security Fifth Division Third Mobile Assault Eighth Unit, AKA Unit 8.
That’s quite the line-up, but we’re still hoping to hear on some of the other big hitters of Summer 2016, like Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma’s second season, the first season of which did pretty well on Crunchyroll. It seems like there’s a bit of something here for everyone, though! What are you most looking forward to?
