Japan Bans Screaming On Roller Coasters
In one of the most interesting guidelines yet, Japanese theme parks have asked guests to refrain from screaming when on a ride.
Of course, this is to prevent the spread of COVID-19 whilst still allowing places like theme parks to run as normally as possible. In practice however, it does seem almost impossible. But hey, it makes for some pretty funny sights.
Fuji-Q Highland may have the best implementation of the rule – they’ve started something called the ‘Magao Challenge’ – which is basically a challenge to hold a serious face for the duration of the Fujiyama roller coaster, as you can see below.
