Monster Hunter Rise shipments reach 4 million

Capcom has revealed that the recently released Monster Hunter Rise has shipped four million copies worldwide.

As with other Capcom press releases, this number includes both physical shipments and digital sales. Monster Hunter World, which originally released on PS4 and Xbox One before arriving on PC a year later, managed to ship five million copies within a similar time frame.

Considering that Monster Hunter Rise is only available on Switch at the moment — its PC release is scheduled for early 2022 — reaching four million shipments after three days is undeniably impressive.

According to Capcom, the Monster Hunter series as a whole has managed to top 66 million units shipped as of December 31, 2020. It’ll be interesting to see how much higher this number climbs during Rise’s lifespan.
