Persona series director Katsura Hashino has taken to the official Sony blog to thank fans outside of Japan for supporting Atlus and Persona 5. Character designer Shigenori Soejima has drawn a little celebration image too featuring the Protagonist, Ann and Morgana.
The full letter can be read on Sony’s blog where Hashino talks about the concept of the story, and how they’re unable to properly communicate with fans outside of Japan due to how busy they are and language barriers. Despite their worry as to how Persona 5 would be received, especially as it’s incredibly Japanese, the team are happy and thankful to see it reach great success in the West. Hashino is also stepping down as series director, and we wish him all the best.
Persona 5 is one of the greatest games ever created, and the team deserve all the praise they get. Seeing the team being so thankful to fans outside of Japan is pretty heart-warming, too.
