Rune Factory 5 delayed to early 2022
As part of XSEED Games‘ E3 lineup, it has been revealed that Rune Factory 5 will no longer be releasing during 2021 in the west.
Now arriving “early 2022”, more information on the farming RPG will shared during this year’s Future Games Show. Whether this includes an exact release date or not is currently unknown.
Rune Factory 5 launched on Switch in Japan last month, but has been suffering from bugs and other issues in a similar fashion to Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town. Multiple patches have already been released, so maybe the game will be more stable by the time it releases in the west next year.
XSEED Games’ schedule for E3 also has space for three mystery titles. Assuming one of these is Potionomics, a title previously announced for 2021, then that still leaves two new announcements — these may also make an appearance at the Future Games Show alongside Rune Factory 5.
