World’s End Club finally coming to PC this month

Despite having initially being announced for PC under its original name Death March Club, World’s End Club is only just getting a release via Steam after already launching elsewhere.

As spotted by Gematsu, this version of the game will release on November 30, 2021. This follows the Switch release earlier this year (and the initial Apple Arcade launch in 2020).

Unlike Kotaro Uchikoshi’s and Kazutaka Kodaka’s previous works, World’s End Club is a more light-hearted affair, with the name change also reflecting this. Originally intended as a death game, the title instead takes 12 schoolkids on a journey as they discover their new powers and deal with the “abnormal events” happening throughout the world.

Switch version trailer

It’s a bit of a departure from what fans usually expect from the creators of Zero Escape and Danganronpa, and the Switch release was met with a mixed reception by both critics and fans. However, it might still be worth checking out for fans of either franchise — just don’t expect the usual death games.
