Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana – New Characters Raksha and Sahad
Since the amazing Ys: Memories of Celceta, we have eagerly been awaiting a new Ys game. In Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana Adol will arrive to a mysterious Isle of Seiren accompanied by two new characters.
Raksha is a 19-year-old daughter of a noble. She uses a rapier in battle and is a nimble warrior, however she cannot target multiple enemies at once. She helps Adol and the gang with her knowledge of ancient ruins, plants and animals.
Sahad is a 41-year-old fishermen who uses an anchor as a weapon in battle. His goal is to return to his hometown where his family is waiting for him.
Like before the combat system will feature rock paper scissors types of attacks, where they can be either “Slash”, “Shoot” or “Strike”.
The game is set in the Isle of Seiren, a mysterious uninhabited island. Different creatures roam this island, including giant reptiles, birds and fish. Aside from these, there are the all-powerful Ancients, who are monster like beings, that attack anyone who makes their way to this island.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will come to PlayStation 4 and Vita in Japan this summer.
