El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron hits PC next month
Developer Crim has announced that El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming to PC via Steam on September 1, 2021 — nearly half a year after the falsely announced April release window.
El Shaddai originally released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 back in 2011, and gained something of a cult following thanks to its interesting premise and visuals.
This is the first port of the game since then, with this release also including the post-ending novel “Lucifer’s Fall”. Despite being a PC release, there’s no support for keyboard and mouse (according to the store page anyway). It’s an odd decision — El Shaddai only requires a few buttons during gameplay, so it would work fine on a keyboard.
At launch, it’ll cost $32.39 (down from its standard $39.99 price), alongside an optional art book and soundtrack. These can all be bought together for the discounted cost of $39.25 via a Deluxe Pack. Both discounts will stay in effect until two weeks after release.
