Elden Ring delayed to February 2022, network test announced

Those of you that have been patiently waiting for Elden Ring will have to hang on for a little longer, as publisher Bandai Namco has announced that it will now release on February 25, 2022.

At the very least, it’s only an extra month to wait compared to Elden Ring’s original release date — fans have already been waiting a few years since the initial announcement after all.

Thankfully, this bad news was also paired with the reveal of an upcoming console network test, currently slated for November 12-15, 2021.

European players can sign up via the official site for a chance to try out the game early. Cross-generation multiplayer has been implemented, though PlayStation testers will not be able to play with those on Xbox platforms.

February 2022 looks to be a packed month, with Horizon Forbidden West, Atelier Sophie 2, Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires and more all launching within the same time frame.
