Debut trailer for Dokapon UP! Mugen no Roulette released
Aquaplus and Sting have released the first trailer for Dokapon UP! Mugen no Roulette, a digital boardgame set in the world of Utawarerumono. You can watch the (surprisingly long) trailer below, which gives a good idea of how the game will play:
The Dokapon series is well known for its boardgame-RPG hybrids, and this title takes that tried and tested formula and gives it an Utawarerumono wrapper. You’ll play as and encounter many Utawarerumono characters, while experiencing an original story set in that world. For the first time in the Dokapon series, there’ll be an online mode, allowing multiplayer matches with up to four friends (or strangers).
Dokapon UP! Mugen no Roulette will arrive in Japan on 10th December 2020. There’s no word on a Western localisation currently, but it seems a given that they’ll be one, since both Dokapon and Utawarerumono made it over here.
