Root Double is getting a limited physical release… for the Vita
Yes, you read that title correctly. Even in 2020, the Vita is still getting new physical releases. This limited edition release of Root Double -Before Crime * After Days- Xtend Edition is being handled by eastasiasoft, in partnership with Sekai Games and developer Regista.
The Vita version of Root Double is already an odd one, with the digital version only releasing in (some of) Europe a few months ago. A Switch release is also being planned by ININ Games, which may also get a physical release at some point.
If you want to pick up what will likely be one of the last physical Vita releases, copies will be available for pre-order September 10th 11am ET/4pm BST exclusively from Play-Asia.
Each limited edition of Root Double will include the game with a manual (a rarity nowadays), a 2 disk soundtrack, and a numbered certificate, all contained within a collector’s box.
