Square Enix open teaser site for Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.4

With Patch 5.4 of Final Fantasy XIV set to be released some time in December, Square Enix have opened a teaser site that features more information on some of the new content being added.

The patch, titled Futures Rewritten, will mark the start of the main story’s transition to a new arc. One of the screenshots shared takes place in Ishgard, starring a few familiar characters, with mentions of a possible ‘dirge of despair’.

Futures Rewritten also features the end of Shadowbringers’ Eden raids, with the patch’s key art even featuring Ryne and Gaia. It’s hard to tell what new enemies we’ll be facing considering what happened last time, though more Final Fantasy VIII fanservice seems likely.

As of right now, the only other important parts of the patch that are featured on 5.4’s site are brief teasers for a new dungeon and another addition to the Sorrow of Werlyt questline.

More information on Final Fantasy XIV’s upcoming patch should be added to the site over the next few weeks, especially after Letter From the Producer Live Part LXI hits on November 27.
