Square Enix has released the Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail benchmark for PC, allowing players to view some of the new graphical changes coming to the game later this year.

While not everything that will be available in Dawntrail is currently implemented, the benchmark does include improved textures, models, and shadows.

Existing character data can be imported into the Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail benchmark, or you can make new ones. Female Hrothgar is available for the first time too, and you can carry over any of your creations once Endwalker is released.

Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail is set to release for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, and PC on July 2, 2024 — anyone that pre-orders will get a few days of early access.
