Nintendo gives new info on Pikmin 3 and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity
The latest Nintendo Treehouse, held on October 7, focused on two games that are nearing release: Pikmin 3 Deluxe and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. We got a good look at both titles in what turned out to be a pretty lengthy showcase.
First up was 40 minutes of Pikmin gameplay. As well as many different kinds of colourful alien, we found out about side story missions, coop gameplay and a versus mode, Bingo Battle, which pits two players head to head in a competitive scavenger hunt.
Here’s the Pikmin 3 segment of the Treehouse.
Next up was a look at Hyrule Warriors. This part of the demonstration mainly focused on Urbosa and Zelda, a couple of characters we hadn’t yet seen in action. Talking points included character special abilities, the weapon system and the world map.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe has a new demo available now. Completing it will give you access to the “ultra-spicy” difficulty mode when the full game launches on October 30 – not long now!
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a little further away. It launches on November 19.
